Top Squad

Squad Philosophy

The Top Squad is the club’s High Performance squad. The primary focus of this group is to provide the appropriate environment and level of coaching for swimmers to compete at the National Championships and at International level. Swimmers in this squad are encouraged to attend any further training opportunities or camps provided by PSC and in consultation with the club’s Head of Swimming (Samir Ahmed) may attend external events organized by national federations or programmes.

Compulsory Training Equipment

All swimmers in this squad are required to own and bring with them to every session, all of the following items of equipment. Should any item be lost or broken, it is expected that the swimmer will replace it as soon as possible.

Kickboard, Fins, Snorkel, Mesh kit bag, Spare hat and goggles, Water bottle (minimum capacity 500ml), Finger & Hand Paddles, Band & Sponge, Medicine Ball & Stretch Cord, Pull Buoy (small in size), Thera Band

Fees for Top squad: £65 per month

Senior Sprint

Squad Philosophy

Senior Sprint Squad is a squad catering for both competitive & non-competitive members who demonstrate good swimming skills but are either unwilling or unable to make a full-time training commitment to the London or Top Squads. Developing & refining technique & skill is the primary objective, whilst providing varied sessions, which incorporate different training zones. Competitive members will continue to target County & Regional events as the focus of their programme along with the club’s league fixtures. The typical age for consideration into this squad will be 13 years, however entry is at the discretion of the Lead Coach & Head Coach and there may be instances when younger swimmers may be eligible.

Compulsory Training Equipment

All swimmers in this squad are required to own and bring with them to every session, all of the following items of equipment. Should any item be lost or broken, it is expected that the swimmer will replace it as soon as possible.

Kickboard, Fins, Snorkel, Mesh kit bag, Spare hat and goggles, Water bottle (minimum capacity 500ml), Pull Buoy (small in size), stretch cord

Fees for Senior Sprint squad: £40 per month

Junior Sprint

Squad Philosophy

The Junior Sprint Squad is a squad catering for both competitive members who demonstrate good swimming skills beyond learn-to-swim. This squad is targeted for children between the ages of 10 – 15 years so that they can continue to be taught the correct swimming techniques.

Compulsory Training Equipment

All swimmers in this squad are required to own and bring with them to every session, all of the following items of equipment.  Should any item be lost or broken, it is expected that the swimmer will replace it as soon as possible.

Kickboard (medium to small in size), Fins, Snorkel, Mesh kit bag, Spare hat and goggles, Water bottle (minimum capacity 500ml), Pull Buoy (small in size), Finger Paddles.

Fees for Junior Sprint Squad: £25 per month

A2 Squad

Squad Philosophy

A2 Squad is the highest age-group squad within the club model. The primary focus of this group is to develop swimmers with the necessary technique & skill to compete at the Regional & National Championships. Swimmers in this squad will be expected to train and compete on a range of distances from 50m – 800 / 1500m events throughout the season.

Compulsory Training Equipment

All swimmers in this squad are required to own and bring with them to every session, all of the following items of equipment.  Should any item be lost or broken, it is expected that the swimmer will replace it as soon as possible.

Kickboard, Fins, Snorkel, Mesh kit bag, Spare hat and goggles, Water bottle (minimum capacity 500ml), Finger & Finger Paddles, Band, Medicine Ball & Stretch Cord, Pull Buoy (small in size)

Fees for A2 squad: £50 per month

Squad Philosophy

A1 Squad is the second age-group squad on the club’s model. The primary focus of this group is to develop swimmers with the necessary technique & skill to compete at the County & Regional Championships. Swimmers in this squad will be expected to train and compete on a range of distances from 50m – 800 / 1500m events throughout the season.
